Show E. Vance Wilson, Fillmore Publisher, Dies of Cancer E. Vance Wilson, 65. editor and publisher of the Millard County Progress, Fillmore, died Sunday evening at his home, of Cancer. Mr. Wilson moved to Fillmore Fill-more in 1919 and was a school teacher and attorney until 1925. He was a graduate of the University Uni-versity of Utah and the University Uni-versity of Chicago Law School, and a veteran of World War I. He was a member of Pome granite Lodge, Free and Accepted Ac-cepted Masons, Ashland, Nebr.; Scottish Rite of Salt Lake City, the Salt Lake City Shrine, American Legion, Utah Bar Association, Utah State Press Association, and the Fillmore Wildlife Federation. He was born Oct. 20, 1896, in Hastings, Nebr., to William and Agdes Shanor Wilson. He married Jane McBride in Salt Lake City in July, 1924. Masonic funeral services, under un-der direction of Sam Cline, were conducted by Albert Pike Lodge No. 14, F & A M of Utah, Wednesday in the Fillmore Fill-more First Ward LDS Church. Survivors include his widow, sons William V. Wilson, Fillmore, Fill-more, and Samuel Henry Wilson, Wil-son, Salt Lake City; a daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. C. B. (Vera) Feight, Salt Lake City, and four grandchildren. |
