Show BEAVER BPW LADIES ATTEND CONVENTION IN ST. GEORGE Twenty members from Beav-i Beav-i er attended the state conven-I conven-I tion of the Business and Professional Profes-sional Womens Clubs in St. George, May 3, 4 and 5. Anna Stark, state second vice president, assisted with conducting conduct-ing the meetings. The Memory Moms of Beaver Beav-er were featured during the Sunday meeting, held at Zion Park. The Beaver Club ladies passed out home made candy to ladies from other parts of the state, and the local club received an honorable mention citation for their publicity scrapbook. Attending from Beaver were Mmes. Flossie Johnson, Anna Stark, Mildred Packard, Karla Tattersall, Vilda Smith, Mattie Hutchings, Vaye Madsen, Al-thea Al-thea Low, Esta Cox, Alice Hes-lington, Hes-lington, Hazel Stapley, Maye Atkin, Pauline Woodhouse, An-nabelle An-nabelle Hales, Edna Crosby, Ruby McMullin, Flora Edwards, Lydia, Patterson, Helena Mc-Garry Mc-Garry and Bertha Dalton. Mrs. Marie James of Whittier, Calif., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Cox of Beaver, was honored hon-ored recently at a banquet and social for supervisors of a Whittier Whit-tier printing concern. Mrs. James is night committee chairman chair-man for the company. Mrs. Laree Stephenson of Provo was a guest of her brother, broth-er, B. Nowers, over the week end. Mrs. Emma Mathews visited on Saturday with her brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Murdock. Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson )f Paragonah were house guests of their sons in law and daughter, daugh-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Limb and Mr. and Mrs. James P. Low. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Smith were happy to have thier son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Smith, spend the week end with them. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Christen-sen Christen-sen of Pacific Grove, Calif., have been here for a week, visiting vis-iting Mrs. Christensen's sister, Alta Nielsen. Ronald Bradshaw and Louis Schwab made a business trip to Kanab Sunday. |
