Show Milford Legion to Show 'The Pershing Story' To Public on General's 100th Birth Anniversary Milford Post No. 16 of the American Legion will present two showings of the Legion film "The General Pershing Story" on Tuesday, Sept. 13th, 100th anniversary anni-versary of the great World War I general's birth. At the authorization and request re-quest of Congress, President Eisenhower has issued a proclamation procla-mation in recognition of the Pershing Per-shing Centennial, and has invited the people of the United States to obswve the day with appropriate appro-priate ceremonies to commemorate commemo-rate the life and accomplishments of General Pershing and those who served with him. "This observance will have a deep and meaningful significance to The American Legion and its members, particularly those who are veterans of World War I," said Dave Morris, Milford Legion Commander. "We especially invite in-vite all World War I veterans of Beaver County to view this film, which depicts the life story of one of America's greatest generals." gen-erals." A special showing of the film for school children has been scheduled for 3 p. m. in St. Bridget's Brid-get's recreation hall, Commander Morris said, and there will be another showing at 7:30 p. m. for adults. Admission to both showings is free, and the general public is invited. |
