Show Distinguished Visitors Governor Spry, State Officers and Salt Lake Route Officials Pay Brief Call A party of distinguished visitors, consisting of Governor William Spry, Attorney General Barnes, Associate Justice Frick of the Supreme Court, Joseph H. Manderfield and T. C. Peck of the Salt Lake Route, paid Milford and vicinity a brief visit on their way to the southern counties. The party was entertained at breakfast break-fast by the Delta Laud and Water Compauy at the latter's experiment fBrru. five miles south-east of Milford Bfter which they viewed the extensive agricultural project of the Delta Company, Com-pany, including the big reservoir. The members of the party expressed themselves them-selves as delighted with the resources and possibilities of Milford and its environs, en-virons, including the farming sections. It is said that the State officials are interested iu the settlement of certain land disputes etc. in the southern south-ern counties, vhile it is generally supposed that the chief object of the visit of these men is to look over a proposed railroad from Lund to St. George, Washington County. |
