Show l iWO EASTERN PARTIES ! SPEAK WELL OF EMERY i ! Last Sunday afternoon there drove into Castledale a couple of rb ulster cars , that came a little farther than did the i Indiana party. I One of the cars a Stevens-Duryea, i hailed from Boston and was occupied by Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Proctor of that i place, who are on their way to again I take up residence at their former home in Huntington Park. California. The other, a Stafford, hailed from Topeka, Kansas, and was occupied by Dr. L. L. Goodwin and son, L. L. jr., and Lee Hill, of Topeka, and Frank Neely of Dover, Kansas. These gentlemen will locate in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Go:idvin's father resides in Fullerton, Calif. These people took supper at the i Anderson hotel, as the guests of the I local Commercial club, and then went i on to Ferron, where the night was spent; i leaving the next morning for the trip ! up-state. i The party was escorted from Green I River by Samuel Singleton of the ; county car party to whom the securing i of this pasty was due, and Mr. Single- to was regarded as a veritable guar-j guar-j clian angel before they were through I with him near the summit in Salina I canyon, where he, with Edmund Craw- ford had gone in the latter's car to meet W. D. Rishel who was logging with his j Tribune-Vclie pathfinder car. j All ot these people hail good things ; to say of our people and of the hospitable hospit-able reception they were accorded at : every turn. Without doubt, Emery county has some warm friends here. The pathfinder people came in Monday Mon-day evening. They were sell, duled to ' reach here at noon, but considerable delay was caused by clutch tumble with the Vclie car. The occupants of the accompanying car from Salina (Dr. ! Lewis and J. F. Martin of that place, j in the former's car) were also stopped several times along the road and chats I enjoyed wph towns-people along they' i knew. Long stops were also made in ' Emery and Ferron. Rishel was accompanied accom-panied by N. H. Bertram of the Bertram Bert-ram motor supply company of Salt Lake. The delay in getting the trouble with the car remedied gave many opportunities opportuni-ties for many pleasant acquaiutance-, acquaiutance-, ships. Mr. an 1 Mrs. Aubrey came in with the Herald -Republican car Monday aft .rnoon a. id joined the group. Mr. Aubrey represents the Hupmobile agency in Salt Lake, and brought a cozy little runabout of that make with him. v . --.j ! L ; -, f ' i r . - . . t . . i' . j L " ' 1 MR.
