Gone are four lettermen who combined for 71.8 per cent of the offense generated. Bruce Collins, the Big Sky Conference and Weber State e leading scorer with 2,019 points, is the biggest hole to fill. With more playing experience and maturity, he could be a surprising player for the Wildcats. The Cats are part of a four-teaMemorial Tournament hosted by St. Johns University in Jamaica, New York. James Madison University and the University of Pennsylvania round out the field. The tournament runs on November 28 and 29. After the tournament, the Wildcats head due north to Providence, Rhode Island for a rematch with the University of Rhode Island Rams In loss in the Providence Civic Center, URI will be out to revenge an Ogden last winter. Returning home, WSC faces the tough December schedule. On ..Dec. 4 the Aggies of Utah State make the trek to the Dee Center. Weber returns the favor on Jan. 3 in Logan. Two days later, Dec. 6, Weber tangles with Utah in Salt Lake City. In order to get some immediate help, the coaching staff has dipped into the junior college ranks for relief. ) Two guards, Kent Smith and Lewis Griffin (6-are both pure shooters and good ballhandlers, but like most juco players, they will have to learn a new system under Coach McCarthy. The opening of the Big Sky race sees the Wildcats in Moscow, Idaho against the Vandals. It was Idaho who gave Weber State its only conference loss last season, in Moscow. Two nights later the Cats will be in Boise against the Broncos. Weber opens its conference home schedule against Montana and Montana State on Jan. 16 and 17 respectively.
