Show . OBlTlAliY. Thomas E. Riding, born in Salt Lake City June 22, 1856; came to St. George with his parents in the early days of Dixie. Was married on the 2(ith day of December. 1S77, in the St. George Temple to Mary Ellen, daughter of John and Ann Eardley of this city, and who has borne him nine children, one of whom preceded him to the spirit world. He had been a long and patient suJ'erer from a complication of diseases, air' passed from this sphere on the 1st day of December, 1898, at the home of his wife's parents in the eastern part of this city. Funeral services were held in the Tabernacle, on December 2nd, where a large number of sympathising friends met to show their respects to tin. memory of the departed. Consoling Consol-ing words were spoken by the elders who addressed the congregation, arid a large cortege followed the remains to tlie St. George cemetary, where his remains were laid to rest in peace.
