Bowen entertained a large number of little folks at her house on Monday afternoon, the event being her little daughter Honore's fourth birthday anniversary. The first of a series of entertainments to be given in the Jordan high school will be given Monday evening under , the auspices of the school officials of the Jordan district. One of the .most brilliant events of the social calendar was the party given by the Ruth Rebekah lodge in honor of the sixtieth birthday anniversary of Mrs. E. S Porter on Tuesday Tues-day evening at the Porter home on Alain street. The spacious rooms of the Porter residence were beautifully decorated with a profusion of flowers in crystal vases, and were filled to overflowing by their many friends. During the evening Mrs. Porter was presented by the Rebekah sisterhood sis-terhood with the past grand's collar and the veteran's jewel, an emblem which only those who have a record of twenty-five twenty-five years of faithful service can aspire to possess. A perfectly appointed dinner was served by the committee having the arrangements in charge, comprising Mesdames Tremeliing, Choc bos, O'Gor-man, O'Gor-man, Xerdin and Jackson.
