Show BURNED TO DEATH, j Fillmore News. Fillmore, March 8, 1874. Editors Herald; A resident of this city Mrs. Joseph Judson, agud about sixty-four was fatally burned at ten o'clock, yesterday yester-day morning. It is supposed she was doing her house work when, getting too near the fire, the flames caught her clothes. She was alone at tho time. Sho ran out of the house, screaming for help. Her daughter was the first person who saw her and ran to her assistance, but was too late. Her clothes were all burned oft, and her flash charred. She expired at half-past six o'clock this morning. She has a son living at Salt Lake City. We have had a severe winter.seven-toen winter.seven-toen feet of snow baring fallen on the level, causing the roads to be very heavy since thawing has commenced. A large number of stock on our range have perished. The snow has mostly disappeared, and we have hopes of better weather, though slush ana mud arc now the onler. The health of the people lias generally gener-ally been good during tho winter, though many are now troubled with colds. C, Merrill. |
