The ticket fairly well Represents all parts of the county and is, perhaps, one of the best ever presented by the Republicans' of the county. Utmost larmony prevailed and there was little or no soreness expressed by delegates. All of the .candidates are capable of filling the offices for which they were nominated, some of them especially so. HELD The Republican of Davie county held their convention for the nomine tion of county officers at the court house in Farmington yesterday. The convention to order at 11:00 a. m. by County Chairman Jena K. Nelson . John W, Thomley. of Bountiful was chosen chairman and W. W. Evans of Layton was chos en secretary. On motion, three com mittees, one on credentials, one on rules arid order of business and one on resolutions and platform was an nounced, after which the coventioa was-calle- d adjourned until 2 p.m. Afternoon Sesssioa Shortly after 2 oclock Chairman Nelson called the convention to order and the committees appointed at the morning session reported. The report of the committee on credentials showed every precinct in the county fully represented and there were no contests. The committee on rules and order of business reported with a majority and a minority report and on motion the majority report was adopted. The committee on platform and resolutions endorsed the state Republican platform and the national platform and pledged the candidates on the county ticket to the enforcement of all prohibition legislation. The only contest which marked the convention was for the two year term county commissioner which was conceded to the north end of the county. There were three candidates for the office, D. M. Nelson of Clearfield, Mark A. Childs of Clinton and George A. Hill of South Weber. On the third ballot D. M. Nelson received a majority of the votes of the convention and was declared the nominee of the BOUNTIFUL Nine mil north of Salt Lake City, and residence town, lamest city in Davte county i baa waterworks, cloetrte lights and power, telephones, cement sidewalk.
