I Mrs. Jonena Fullmer Funeral Services Held Monday for Imm Fullmer, 69 The First ward chapel was filled Monday at funeral services for Mrs. Jonena Fullmer, 69, widow of Delbert D. Fullmer, who died Wednesday Wed-nesday at the Payson hospital of a heart ailment. She had been seriously ser-iously ill for several weeks and entered the hospital on Tuesday. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery. Born in Iceland, November 27, 1885, she was a daughter of Thor-stein Thor-stein and Sigredur Hansen Peterson, Peter-son, early immigrant pioneers. The family settled in Spanish Fork and later lived in Springville for a time before returning to Spanish Fork. She attended school in Spanish Fork and in Springville and was married to Delbert D. Fullmer on August 12, 1903. The marriage was solomnized in the temple in June 1911. Mr. Fullmer died in 1941. A member of Camp Kolob Dauahter of Utah Pioneers, Mrs. Fullmer was also active in LDS chruch work and had been a visiting visit-ing Relief Society teacher many years. Her life wa sone of service not only to her family but to others. She reared 13 sons and daughters of her own and during their early married life, when her husband's three sisters and a, brother were left orphans, she cared for them as her own. They also took into their home two children of her husband's brother, who had been left motherless at a very eai-ly age making a total of 19 who lived in her home who called her mother. One of her daughters, Mrs. L. K. (Berniece) Harper died four vears ago. Surviving are 12 sons and daughters, Delbert T Howard C William W., Bliss, and Mrs. George Peugh all of Springville; Mrs C. E. Jewett, S. Glen and Allan L Fullmer and Mrs. Frank Paxman of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Clarence Ferre, Orem; Mrs. Lyman Smith, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Verl Miner, Magna; 31 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was also a foster mother to Mrs. Etta Thorpe and Mrs. Grace Loveridge Lov-eridge of Springville; Mrs. Hilda Grant, Cour de Alene, Ida., and Ralph Fullmer, deceased. Mrs. V. H. Williams of Bountiful and John Fullmer of Springville. |
