OCR Text	Show HEALTH OFFICIAL SELECTED BY GOVERNOR MAW Dr. Allan C. Thurman has been appointed as acting administrative assistant of the state department of health by Gov. Herbert B. Maw. Dr. Thurman has been the director direc-tor of the crippled children's division divi-sion since 1940 and in his new post will be the chief assistant of Dr. Welby W. Bigelow, who was recently re-cently appointed state health commissioner com-missioner to succeed the late Dr. Wm. M. McKay. Dr. Thurman, a native of Og-den, Og-den, is a graduate of the University Univer-sity of Utah and received his medical medi-cal degree from University of Louisville in 1937.
