Show Something- Botten in Denmark. Copenhagen, Oct. 5. The D iet opened today, to-day, and it is probable the session will be the most stormy Denmark ever witnessed. The relations of the contending parties are strained to the utmost and some violent scenes are anticipated, and an attempt will be made to force the King to comply witn the vote of the Diet at the previous session to dismiss obnoxious ministers. His majesty also will probably be subject to serious discussion dis-cussion for having levied taxes by royal decree, de-cree, when the Diet refused to vote the budget, bud-get, and saying he was determined to continue con-tinue to do so. The people throughout Denmark Den-mark are greatly excited at the arbitrary action ac-tion of the King. Mayors all over the country refused to levy the illegal taxes, and numbers of political prosecutions have resulted re-sulted from demonstrations against the government. |
