Brittney is a 2000 graduate of Weber High School and is now working at Smart Style. She received a cosmetologist license from Stacey’s Beauty College. Kyle is a 2001 graduate of Roy High School and is currently employed at JC Electric. He attends the electrical trade school at the Ogden-Weber Applied Technology College. A reception was held in their honor following the ceremon The bride is the daughter of Tom and Ginger Nistler of West Point, and Paul and Ruth Ann Ferguson of South Ogden Parents of the bridegroom are Cliff and Sandra Peterson of North Ogden. The bride chose Aundralise Nistler as maid of honor, with Andi Peterson as bridesmaid. k Peterson performed the duties of best man, with Daniel Peterson as groomsman. The bride graduated from Ogden High School and is employed at Bonneville ae in client services. e bridegroom graduated from Weber High School and Weber State University, with a bachelor’s degree in integrated sciences and is employed with Autoliv as a software engineer. The couple will live in Eden after their honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii. Obituaries Amelia Smith Amelia Shaw Smith, 84, with her family at her side, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at Crestwood Care Center from causes incident to age. The family expresses appreciation for the tender attention and care exhibited by many who ministered to her during her lengthy stay. She was born October 5, 1920 in Liberty, Utah to James E. and Virtue Chard Shaw. She married Bert N. Smith on January 8, 1941 in Liberty. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Amelia was her husband’s treasured partner in Smith and Edwards, Co., Farr West, Utah. She also helped pioneer the branch in Ruby Valley, Nevada. There, at the OX Ranch, she spent a life-time of memorable summers with her family as they engaged in the ranching business, home grown on Amelia’s world class cooking and motherly pampering. If her loving husband was the back and brains, she was the heart and soul of the successful operation, the very glue that held it all together: cowgirl, gardener, baseball player, patriot, devoted church member, center of the family, saint. Surviving are her husband Bert N. Smith; two sons and two daughters, Sherma (Hugh) Sloan, Aurora, Colorado; James (Paula) Smith, Liberty; Ruth Ann (David) Gladwell, North Ogden; Steven R. (Carolyn) Smith, South Ogden; 22 grandchildren and 17 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and one sister, Rulon Shaw, Idaho; and Mary Jane Johns, Ogden. She was preceded in death by a son, Brent S. Smith, a daughter Sharlene S. (Michael) Casey, two brothers, and four sisters. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 9, at the Highland LDS Ward Chapel, 1314 27th Street, Ogden. Interment, Liberty Cemetery. Those wishing to do so may make contributions to the LDS Perpetual Education Fund in lieu of flowers. Send condolences to the family at <www.myers-mortuary.com> August Guy Favero August Guy Favero, 81, died Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at the Ogden Regional Medical Center. He was born September 26, 1923 in Ogden, a son of Antonio Favero and Amabile Monti. He married Lora Morelli on April 3, 1948 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Ogden. s self-employed as a farmer. He was also manager at the Mt. Ogden Mill. He helped establish the Holy Trinity Monastery in Huntsville by operating the land until the monks arrived. In 1994, he received an award of merit for outstanding accomplishments in resource conservation from the Weber SCD. a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife of Taylor; sons David E.(Jeannine) Favero, A. Dean (Nancy) Favero, Thomas V.(Lisa) Favero and Andrew S.(Jackie) Favero, all of Ogden; one daughter Anna Marie (Randy) Giordano, Ogden. Eleven grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, Joseph (Marge) Favero, Ogden; Mrs. Eldon (Mae) Carpenter, Cheyenne, Wyoming; Mrs. Arthur (Margaret) DuLaney, Alexandria, Virginia. He was preceded in death by one sister, two brothers, and two grandchildren. Funeral a was held Monday, October 4, 2004 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2740 Pennsylvania Ave., Ogden. He was born November 16, 1916, in Salt Lake City, the son of Louis and Alice Gygi Buhrley. He was raised in Salt Lake City where he attended West High School. He served an LDS mission in Brazil from 1936 - 1939. On July 1, 1940, Louis married Helen Williams Moon. Lou and Helen moved to Huntsville, Utah and there began to raise their family and form many lasting, eternal friendships. Lou surprised many when he adapted so well to country living.
