Just imagine the change in the child, the family and your home environment. There is growing evidence that the environment and different kinds of energy can have a significant influence on children’s behavior. Energy is also called Chi. The ancient art of Feng Shui is based on the premise that: Every thing has Chi, everything is connected by Chi, Chi is always changing. One of the many kinds of energy or Chi that can have a big impact on a human, particularly children, is elec- tromagnetic fields. Humans are incredibly sensitive to EMFs. Nowadays we are bombarded by many electromag- netic frequencies including power lines, microwaves, computers, stereos, cell phones, clock radios, etc. just to name a few. Electromagnetic stress is caused by exposing our bodies to either artificial or distorted natural EMFs, which can penetrate and alter our cellular process. There is work being done that indicates that severe or long-term exposure can weaken the immune system leading to a breakdown in health. Teenagers can be inundated with elec- tromagnetic stress by the technology they surround themselves with. It isn’t unusual these days to find TVs, computers, stereos, videos, and clock radios plugged in twenty-four hours a day. Being subjected to so many EMFs could possibly become addicting. Some of these teenagers seem to lack energy or enthusiasm for anything in life and turn into teenage couch toes. There are some things you can help reduce level of EMFs in your rooms. Move alarm and clock radios at least three feet away from the bed. Cover TVs and computer screens at night by putting them behind closed doors or cover with cloth. Limit your child’s exposure to TV and computers as much as possible. Get your kids outside being active and healthy. Chaos and clutter can also impact children. Clutter can be a reflection of, and contributor to, inner confusion and depression. Clearing and controlling clutter can help lift energy in an environment. For most people, including kids, it 1s easier to focus on a task and be productive in a calm organized envi- ronment. out on the grass with them. by so quickly is because I it as much as I used to. Maybe the enjoyment of each moment makes it seem like more time has passed. Children with high energy levels may also be sensitive to colors. They may do better if their space has calm muted colors rather than bright intense primary colors. It can also help to settle energy by not having a room too full of things that call to a child for attention. Overall The Essence of Time What do you think? [’m busy all summer but maybe I make the time go fast to get rid of the feeling of always being busy. I feel we all need to take the time to enjoy each moment of every day. But I’'m one of these people who really believe that my value comes from what I accomplish. to serve and the others who think they need our help but really don’t, give us the opportunity to grow. So either way we benefit. Maybe it’s just my nature to always please that pushes me to try to accom- plish so much. But still, why do I think my accomplishments please others? I guess it doesn’t really matter, does it? I just need to enjoy each moment and quit trying to accomplish so much and see 1f it really will slow down my sum- mer. Why not slow down and enjoy the process more. Hope all of you are having an enjoyable summer—if not, stop planting the roses and start smelling them. important thing you can do is to provide an environment that nurtures your children and makes them feel secure, accepted and loved. -This is a paid advertisement-.
