Show SUDDEN dei DEATH TH the news of the sudden and unexpected death at salt lake city of mrs orson 0 holbrook came over the wire thursday as a shock barbed with pain and sorrow borrow at the time of her demise she was visiting with her daug ther mrs A N hanson in salt lake city a and aad ad appeared to ae e in her usual health when suddenly her heart s stopped boppel I 1 and death came without warning the r remains were brought to tier her bonu in fillmore and on sunday in the L D S chapel funeral services were held field conducted by bishop P L brunson songs were vere touchingly rendered by the ward vard choir tile the flowers were many and beautiful but no more beautiful than the face that rested so peacefully among them the speakers were R W king T L V robison and joshua greenwood and the services throughout were very impressive sive the dece deceased ased mary vir virginia ginia ray aay holbrook was born april 11 1846 in carrold county state of mississippi and shortly after c AL 7 her birth the family moved to texas where her p parents arents mr and mrs john A ray became converts to the morman faith and came to utah in 1852 and made their home in stillmore more where virginia s home has been ever since she was married to orson 0 holbrook 1862 and became the mother of seven children three ot which have proceeded her to the great beyond she is survived ived by her husband and four children orson H fr frank abik J mrs daisy holbrook hanson und and miss florence holbrook and a number of grand children also lier her brother joseph E ray bay and her sisters mrs ellen k mathany Ma mrs airs martha J thorpe mrs jerome pratt and mrs mm melissa smith her life was gentle and quiet but like the still waters it was deep in lier ier heart she abe carried those she loved and those who were nearest to her will long for her with unutterable longings long for in mothers others council and advice and a cifes gentle and loving sympathy |
