Show Rodeo Royalty i Lakeside Review North, Wednesday, Aug. 17, 1983 7C Selected The annual DDO Junior Rodeo Queen contest is now history and three young ladies have been selected in the three age groups to reign as Junior Queens. Nicole Maughn will reign in the group; Tracy Ann Fowers in the 3 and Katie Manning in the 6 age 8-- i k t 11-1- t 14-1- group. Sixty two girls from the Ogden area, as well as girls from Colorado and Tooele, Morgan and Davis Counties, competed in the two days of activity which saw the girls rated on appearance, personality and horsemanship. In addition to the queens, in each age group a court was se- lected and a Miss Congeniality. In the age group, first and second runners up were Suzette Heninger and Karilyn Gaz. Kari-ly- n was also Miss Congeniality. Among the year olds, Chantel LaRouge and Heidi Russell were first and second at- tendants and Sandy Robertson was Miss Congeniality. Sandy was also given the new Sportsmanship trophy for the contest. 6 In the year category ' Claudine Nance and Corry Smith were first and second runners up, respectively and Lisa Chavez was Miss Congeniality. The new junior queens will Serve the Depot during the annual jackpot rodeo and other depot sponsored activities during , the coming year. Fitness Testing Planned ' The High Level Health department at St. Benedicts Hospital has scheduled fitness testing Thursday, August 8, to help participants evaluate their personal conditioning and plan individual health goals. The following fitness tests will be provided: resting heart rate, blood pressure, exercise evalua-tfd- n tbicycle'ergometer), percent body fat calibration, cardiac risk analysis and stressanxiety scale evaluation. The tests will be conducted in the hospitals physical therapy department August 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. The information derived from these tests will be arranged into a personal health profile, which will be explained to each participant in an educationevaluation class held the following Thurs- -' day, August 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the hospitals education cen1 ter. ? Cost for all tests and evalua- j tion is $40. Please note that while the tests help determine present fitness levels, they do not replace regular medical examination by a physician. In certain instances, the approval of a doctor may be required before participating in the tests. Registration deadline for fitness testing is Friday, August 12.
