Show 1 - WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK MR. AND MRS. JOIIN J. CARROLL, NEE MARGARET FINNEGAN On Wednesday morning Miss Margaret Mar-garet Finnegan and John J. O'Carroll were marled at St. Mary's cathedral by Very Rev. Dean Harris. A beautifully beauti-fully arranged musical program, in which the "Wedding March" and "Bridal Chorus" were exceedingly well rendered during the ceremony by Miss Nora Gleason, who presided at the organ. The bride wore a pretty white embroidered gown of white Irish linen, lin-en, with long tulle veil, and carried a wreath of bridal roses. from which long streamers of Maline fell to the bottom of her gown. The bride, was attended by her sister Miss Harriet Finegan. who wore a beautifrU white toilette and carried pink carnvtions. The bridegroom was attended by Richard Kane. The wedding was followed by an elaborate wedding breakfast, given at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Philip Finegan, 2450 South Third East street. -Mr. and Mrs. O'Carroll left on the afternoon train for an extended trip through California, and later will go to Winnemucca, New, where Mr. O'Carroll is one of the most prominent business men. One of the important events of the week, and around which much interest inter-est centered, was the beautifully arranged ar-ranged and quiet wedding of Miss Louise Sullivan and Dr. C. B. Titcomb, which took place at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James W. Sullivan, in First avenue. The cerejnony. was solemnized by the Right Rev. Bishop Scanlan in the presence of tiie immediately family. The bride, who is one of the leading favorites in Salt Lage society, wore a stylish tailored cut-away gown in a new, modish shade of blue, with hat to match. Dr. and Mrs. Titcomb left on the afternoon train for Los Angeles and vicinity, where they will remain a few-weeks, few-weeks, and will return to be at home after November 1 at the Fifth East hotel. Snllivaji-Oliver. A pretty wedding occurred on Tues day, September 20. when Arthur C. Sullivan of this city and Miss Alice May Oliver were united in marriage by Rev. Father Van der Donckt at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter T. Oliver, in American Ameri-can Falls. Ida. The hri le was attended by her sisters. sis-ters. Vera and Ollie. and the groom by Thomas Keogh of Ogden. After the ceremony a large reception recep-tion was given at the Olivtr residence from 7 to 9 p. m., when over 200 Utah and Idaho friends of Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan Sul-livan were present to greet them. Aft.T the reception the young couple started on a wedding tour of the Pacific Pa-cific coast states, after which they will make "their home for the winter in Tacoma, Wash. Mr. Sullivan, who was cashier for the Salt Lake Security & Trust company, com-pany, is one of the prominent men in business circles in this city, and has a host of friends who wish him unlimited unlim-ited success. The bride is a graduate - from St. Mary's academy, and has legions of friends in Idaho, as well as this state. |
