Show SOLDIER BOY ENJOYS LIFE Mina Beauregard, one of the vol- unteers from Gunnison and who is ' now located in Siberia, has written an interesting letter to his mother, Mrs. Amelia Beauregard. Mina, ac-cording ac-cording to his letter, i3 taking on weight and is enjoying life, although al-though he is anxious to be back to the good old U. S. A. and Gunnisoa again. Following is the letter received re-ceived from the soldier boy: Vladivostok, Siberia, v May 5, 1919 Dear Mother: I have received ' your dear letter and was sure glad to hear you were well. It had been "v some time since I had heard from any of you and haven't received a Gazette for two months. You asked me how much I weighed and just recently re-cently I tipped the scale at 176 pounds. I shall have my photo taken tak-en and send you one. Have been trying to get this attended to for some time, but these Russian people are the slowest I ever saw. I have been in the army for over two years and when I will get home it is hard to tell, but I don't think it will be many months, though. There are four of us here at the garage, we get along fine and there is not much work to be done now. We are having some fine weather now, so spring-like. But it gets monotonous, mo-notonous, the same thing every day. Have been driving a motorcycle for the past two weeks and it is sure great to get out and have a change. I will close now for this time and am hoping you are all well and that it will not be long until I will be with you again. Your loving son, Mina. |
