Show DEATH OF amm LARS P NELSON Alond monday ayat at 1030 a in the spirit of lars P nelson took its flight into the other world mr air nelson ha had d ben ill III for about eight weeks with meningitis super induced by typhoid fever ile he suffered terribly and yet strong hopes were entertained for his recovery although it was known he was a very cry sick man the last week was especially encouraging until sunday when a change for the worse came and it was seen that he could not be expected to live ile he continued to sink until monday morning at al the hour named when he died ills his left arm became paralyzed some weeks ago then his eyes then his bowels a and nd lastly his larynx which which prevented him from swallowing anything death was truly a happy relief to I 1 mr nelson for ills his suffering was something pitiful to behold and yet tile the separation causes grief and heart aches in the family circle thus broken may alay our father in heaven let the comforting influence of his holy sahit descend upon the afflicted ones and soften the blow to the extent that they may all feel that there is an overruling providence which boeth all things for the best bes t tile the family have jeen been very sorely afflicted of late years with sickness of a very malignant character A few years ago mr nelson was called home from a mission to denmark to find all his big children in bed with typhoid and during the past three weeks nearly all the family have had scarlet fever the home being released from quarantine the morning the fatzler father died lars L ars peter nelson was born in ty velse denmark october 2nd and 1862 at the age of tour four years he left the old country in x with ills his parents and ands sister lster immigrating ing to zion on the journey the dreaded cholera broke out amon among g the immigrants and the parents and sister of mr nelson were among those who were claimed by that terrible disease thus suddenly bereft of father er mother and sister the boy was taken into the family of nels nelton better known as coop co op nelson where lie he was cared carea for and treated as one of their own until he grew to manhood in 1883 he be was married to eliza reeder and 12 children have blessed that union 7 of whom are still living mr nelson was a farmer by occupation cu and a hard worker in a spiritual as well as a temporal way lie he performed a successful mission in copenhagen pen hagen denmark a few ears ago and since his return has been associated with the scandinavians in their meetings having charge of the choir funeral services will be held today at 1 in the tabernacle |
