Weber State will host the Utah In- vitational Cross Country Meet this Friday at Riverside Golf Course, Ogden, Utah, at 3 p.m. Teams that will be r run are Weber State, Utah participating in this State, Brigham Young, Utah, Idaho State, Wyoming, Northern Colorado, Montana State and the University of Minnesota, Lauri Adams, an outstanding distance runner from Montana State, will be a favorite for first place along with strong runners from Wyoming and the Universityof Minnesota. The women's cross country team took the fifth spot at a cross country meet hosted by the University of Montana last Saturday. Team scores were as follows: Montana Wash. St. 5,000-mete- 36 60 The Weber State women's volleyball team went at the Brigham Young Invitational Volleyball Tournament last Thursday through Saturday. The Wildcats single victory came when they defeated conference op. This event is open to all girls and women in the area and will offer divisions for 13 and under, high school, collegiate, open and master's division (30 and over). Several of the schools participating in the Utah Invitational on Friday will stay over to participate in the road race on Saturday. At 2:30 p.m. the same day the Wildcats will meet the University of New Mexico in another conference match at the Edman Courts. GOLF: Weber State's women's golf team travels to Albuquerque this week to participate in the Lady Tucker Invitational Golf Tournament hosted by the University of New Mexico October 3 through 5. |
