Tho National Grange Includes over a million farmers, and Is particularly strong In Now England, the middle and central western states. N. J. Bachelder. of Concord. N. 71., tho national master, is serving on tho convention committee for tho third time. The Farmers National and Co-Opcra-tlvo union possesses a total membership exceeding two million, located principally princi-pally In tho. southern and southwestern states, and Is represented through iLs president, Charlos S. Barrett of Union City. Ga. Tho Farmers' union has not participated in provlous conventions, but owing to tho very extensive Interest In road building in tho south, tho subject has become of paramount interest to this organization.
