Haws owner of Durfey, Durfeys Cleaners in Kearns, has informed us that as of yesterday they will occupy their new quarters just east of their old shop. Kearns is the fourth 'cleaning establishment in the state owned L to R, Construction foreman unidentified, Mr. Haws Durfey, owner and Mrs. Jim Wilson, assistant manager of Durfeys Cleaners, prepared final details before operiing new unit this week. and operated by Mr. Durfey. He has other such establishments in American Fork, Provo, and Lehi. Mr. Durfey being in the cleaning business for the past 16 years, is in a position to know how to reach the peak of efficiency. Satisfied service and complete efficiency is what they plan to give their patrons. The facilities constructed in the new building make it competitive with any other cleaning establishment in the state. Construction began on the new building four months ago, and now boasts Pecky Cedar paneling and a lovely green carpeting throughout the lounge and office. The big feature of the new building will be the minute service available for the patrons. With the new drive in service, one need never leave their to drop off cleaning. Walk in service will also be handled just as quickly and Magna Father Fatally Injured A Magna father was fatally wounded last week when a bullet entered his skull about two inches above the right ear and did not exit as a result of a game of Russian Roulette, with a loaded revolver on the first spin of the chamber. Sheridan Buck, 23, of 3920 So. 9000 West in Magna, father of a two year old daughter, died in the St. Marks Hospital twenty four hours after the incident occured at a service station on Redwood Road. The incident was reported to the Salt Lake Police department by the station attendant. Relatives who were with the injured man took him to the hospital. The victim had stopped at the service station just prior to the accident with three companions. Mr. Buck is survived by his widow, Mrs. Helga Buck, a daughter, Geannee Robin Buck, and a brother, Donald Buck. If desired, clothing may be livered to the public by one of their five trucks serving the area. The company now has ten trucks serving the public in the state at the present time. An added feature of the business will be complete tailoring and alterations done to specification by Stephan Willaetnar, who is a master German tailor, and an expert in the field. Business hours will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and cleaning may be picked up as quickly as two hours service, if need be. In the Kearns establishment, Mr. Jim Wilson will serve as assistant manager and Beth Jones, working with him. A grand opening is slated for Saturday, December 19th. At this time everyone is invited to come and see their new facilities, engineered for maximum efficiency.
