Show B. P. W. SPONSORS LUNCHEON FOR NATIONAL WOMEN'S 9 WEEK i Observing National Women's Week, the Sugar House Business Busi-ness and Professional Women's Club is sponsoring a luncheon Saturday Sat-urday noon at Mrs. Knight's Tea Room, 875 East 21st South, with the lady members of the SugarHouse Chamber of Commerce, the ladies of the Sugar House Lions Club, members of the Sugar Su-gar House Rotary Anns, ladies of the Sugar House Post 65 of the American Legion as special guests. Out of town members of the Business and Professional groups from Tooele and Park City have also accepting invitations and will participate in the program. Mrs. Ethel Robinson, chairman of the Publicity Committee will conduct the program during the luncheon and will introduce the speaker of the day, Mrs. Virginia Lee Bennett, State Program Coordinator, Coor-dinator, and Mrs. Suzanne Mae Grua, State Membership Chairman, Chair-man, Mrs. J. C- Barnes, president of the local club will greet the guests A musical skit will be presented by members of Tooele B. P. W. club. National Women's Week is sponsored spon-sored for the purpose of bringing women's organizations to the fore in national importance and it is being observed this week throughout the nation. PRESENTATION OF CHARTER AT MONDAY MEETING Miss Lenora Romer, Utah State president of the Business and Professional Women's clubs, will present the charter to the Sugar House club at their regular meeting meet-ing to be held Monday evening, October 13. Dinner will be served promptly at 7:30 o'clock. Mrs. J. C. Barnes, club president presid-ent will preside. Samuel J. Nich-oles, Nich-oles, past president of the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce will be the speaker and discuss "What our Community is Doing for National Nat-ional Defense." The Sugar House Business and Professional Women's club has been organized for several months and under the leadership of Mrs. Barnes has won for itself a prominent prom-inent place in Sugar House activities. |
