Show Probably the people of Mt. Pleasant Pleas-ant were surprised to see High School Notes appear in this paper last week and wondered who was responsible for it. We wish to say in explanation Jhat we, the students of the High School, have secured this column tor the purpose of expressing our opinion and ideas on various things and to let the people of the district know some of the things we are doing in school. We hope that it will help to create more interest in the school and prove that we have high ideals and are working not only for book learning but also to build strong characters. This year we have a more strict system of discipline, better rules and regulations, governing attendance deportment there being special committees com-mittees of members Of the faculty to look after these things. With these we should be able to do better work and get better results than we have done without them. We are very well pleased with the cement walk which with the help of the school board we have laid in front of our building and hope that other improvements to beautify and improve our surrounding wi.l follow that one.
