Show HELD TO ANSWER.

The examination of the Moores of Hooper City, for the murder of James Drysdale, which has been taking place in Ogden, before Justice Middleton during the past week, closed on Tuesday evening, April 26th. After the evidence was all in, N. Tanner, Jr., attorney for the defendants, addressed the court, Mr. F. S. Richards, of the prosecution, waiving his right to the opposing address. The latter followed Mr. Tanner, and at the close of his speech, the Justice ordered that Peter Moore, Jr., who did the shooting, be committed without bail, and that Peter Moore, Sen., the father, be held for appearance at the next term of court in the sum of $1,000. This he could not obtain, so that the action in his case is equivalent to a committal.-News. |
