Show Obituary. John F. Daly, bridge builder for the Moffat road, died on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at his home, 3230 Meade street, after a short illness. Mr. Daly was 51 years of age, snd for thirty years was prominent prom-inent in Colorado as a railroad and bridge contractor. His funeral took place Friday morning from St. Dominic's Dom-inic's church, where Rev. Francis O'Neil read requiem mass and SDoke a few touching words on the exemplary Christian life of the deceased. The funeral was under the auspices of Denver Den-ver council No. 539, Knights of Columbus, Colum-bus, of which Mr. Daly was a member. Burial was in Mount Calvary cemetery. Mr. Daly leaves a widow and six children. chil-dren. Two sisters, Mrsv J. A. Carroll of Rolfe, la., and Mrs. Minnie Harty of Sioux City, la., attended the funeral. Louis Stadler of 127 South Water Street died at his home on WednesrTav Nov. 4, and was buried Saturday In Mount Olivet cemetery, after hfgh requiem mass in St. Joseph's church. A number of fraternal organizations were represented at the funeral. James E. Cummings died at his home, 1750 Washington street, early Monday morning .Nov. 9. after an illness extending ex-tending over a year. Up to the time his health failed Mr, Cummings had been a member of the Denver police force, and was well known and liked. Some months ago he went to California, but failed to receive any benefit from the change, so returned to await death in the bosom of his family. The funeral occurred weanesaay, inov. 11, from Logan avenue chapel, where Rev. J. F. McDonough read requiem mass. The pall-bearers were chosen from among his former companions on the police force, and a platoon of police escorted the body to its last resting place in Mount Olivet cemetery. Mr. Cummings is survived by his widow and five children; chil-dren; also by his mother, two sisters. Miss Sarah Cummings and Mrs. Frank Mollandine, and two brothers, Eugene and Daniel Cummings, all of whom are old residents of Denver. Mrs. Catherine Lutolf passed away Sunday, Nov. 8, at her home, 1206 Tenth street. Mrs. Lutolf was among the prominent Germans of the city, and had resided here for many years. The funeral took place Tuesday morning from St. Elizabeth's church, the Society So-ciety of Christian Mothers and other religious societies assisting at the requiem mass offered for the repose of her soul. Burial was in Mount Olivet cemetery. Mrs. Lutolf leaves a son. Charles Lutolf. and two daughters, Mrs. C. Schaefer and Mrs. N. Potter Samuel Doherty died Sunday morning, morn-ing, Nov 8, at the home of his brother, John Doherty, 4379 Lowell boulevard. The funeral too kplace Tuesday afternoon after-noon from Holy Family church Interment Inter-ment was In Mount Olivet cemetery. The funeral of John Quinn took place Tuesday afternoon from St. Leo's church, where Rev. Father O'Ryan read the burial service. Interment was in Mount Olivet cemetery. |
