Show Obituary. Mr. Siro Manginl, one of the oldest day, June 13, at his home, 2S01 Curtis street, after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Manginl was 68 years of age, most of which time he had passed in this city, where he opened a hotel as early as 1S69. He was one of the foremost citizens of the state and was held In high esteem by the Italians, in whose interests he was very active. The funeral fu-neral occurred Sunday afternoon, June 16, from Sacred Heart church and was largely attended. Ceveral Italian societies so-cieties escorted the body to its last resting place in Mt. Calvary cemetery. Mr. Mangini is survived by ten children, chil-dren, Tony, Louis. Fred. George; John, Marv, Adeline. Clara and Mrs. H. How of Salt Lake City. Mr. John Holtvogt of 1990 Holden street died at his home on Thursday, June 13, and was burled Sunday morning morn-ing from St. Elizabeth's church. Interment Inter-ment was in Mt. Olivet cemetery. A very sad and tragic death overtook Mr. Matthew Mamllik at his home, in Hugo, Col., Thursday evening, June 13. Mr. Mamllik was for years a prominent cattle man of that section, owning many acres of land. While conveying a heavy load of grain from one ranch to another the horses missed the road in the dark and stepped Into a gully, .throwing the wagon bo far sideward as to cause Mr. Hamllik to fall to the ground under the wheels, which passed over his chest, crushing the ln"e out of him with the tremendous lod. In ' the lonely country the .unfortunate' l , ' man lay many hours before help came to him. and' then it was too late. The body was brought to Denver, where it was buried Monday morning with requiem mass from St. Elizabeth's church. Interment was in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Mr. Hamllik was a brother of Miss Rose Hamllik of this city and also of Mrs. Joseph Dostal. "Another sister from Iowa City. Iowa, and a brother from Central city arrived for the funeral. Much sympathy is felt for the family in this bereavement, following fol-lowing so closely upon the death of the mother, which occurred in Iowa City in February, of this year. On that sad occasion Mr. Matthew Hamllik was one of the six children who hastened from far distant parts of the country to pay their last tribute of respect to a" devoted de-voted and Christian mother. The funeral of Andrew Gersted of 829 South Eleventh street took place from St. Elizabeth's church Thursday morning, June 13. Interment was in Mt. Calvary cemetery. Thomas Joseph Culen. the 7-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Cullen, died Thursday, June 13. after a short illness of pneumonia. He was buried Saturday morning from the family home, 647 Grant avenue, with mass at St. Joseph's church. Burial was in Mt. Calvary cemetery. |
