The corner-stone of the new building for the Sisters' academy at Missoula was laid with appropriate ap-propriate ceremony Sunday, Nov'. 12. Much regret is felt that the rain prevented pre-vented many from attending the eyer-cises. eyer-cises. The church ritual was read and the pupils of the school sang some excellent ex-cellent selections. In a small copper box was placed the following articles: A silk flag, a certificate of the date of the occasion signed by the Pope, the archbishop, bishop, priest, the ecclesiastical ecclesi-astical head' of the Sisters of Provit dence, president governor, mayor, founder and foundress of the Order of the Sisters of Charity of Providence, present faculty- of the school and the benefactors of the school; copies of the local papers and the Montana Catholic and a box containing medals and coins. IDAHO. (Correspondence Intermountain Catholic.) Montpelier, Nov. 21. A mission will be given and a 'lecturing tour made from Dec. 4 to 12 by Rev. W. J. A. Hendricks of this city, in the Mormon stronghold of Dempsey valley, Bannock county, Idaho. The Rev. Father will explain all the doctrines and tenets of the Holy Catholic Cath-olic Church. There are at present seventeen sev-enteen persons admitted in the church, and by the prayers of all interested it is believed more will follow. -A large attendance is earnestly requested. |
