Show Wednesday, November 29, 1978 Page 3 Suspects Plead ssauit Guilty names C3 Mark McGrath and Michael Colvin pleaded guilty Tuesday to aggravated assault charges stemming from a shooting incident near Kimball Junction Junc-tion October 14. The two Salt Lake City area youths, both 19, appeared ap-peared at the Coalville County Coun-ty Courthouse Tuesday before Third District Judge Dean Conder, who is expected expec-ted to pass sentence on December 18. Aggravated assault is a third degree felony, punishable by one to five years in the state prison and a fine up to $5,000. The two youths reportedly r6de into Cliff's Chevron Station on a motorcycle and requested the use of tools. When denied by station attendant at-tendant Mike Byer, a scuffle ensued between Byer and McGrath, with McGrath pulling a pistol from a pack on the motorcycle. According to testimony, Byer said he ran into the station and out through a bathroom window over to the Amoco service station to seek help from attendant at-tendant Ray Owens. McGrath and Colvin then drove down the frontage road, followed by Byer and Owens in a wrecker, towards Flinders Sod Farm, where McGrath allegedly pulled out the pistol and fired two shots. The two motorcyclists then drove onto the sod farm, again firing another shot.
