Without this protection American farmers raising sugar beets could not be paid sufficient return for their crop to enable them to grow beets. Tho tariff on sugar is not for the boncflt of the speculator but Is for the benefit of tho American beet grower and sugar producer and also for the benefit of the American people peo-ple by assuring them the development develop-ment of their domestic sugar Industry Indus-try which will make the Independent of foreign supplies. |
