Show FORMER UTAH MAN DIES IN EAST Cincinnati Sepi 4 The death of Dr L R. Riggs. formerly of Utah, aged 41 years at his residence In this city, IS Polnciana building. Avon dale, as the result of heart trouble, was announced late toda; He was taken 111 at his office in this city last Sunday, but at the time it was not thought that this Illness would result fatally, as everv medical aid was extended ex-tended Dr. Rlggs uas a nativp of Salt Lake and spent his boyhood there attend ing the Salt Lake schools and later the University of Utah, graduating (rom the university in 1R91 He then went to New York and entered the Columbia university law school, graduating in 1895 He returned to T tah and was admitted to the bar of Utah In 1S95. Later Mr Riggs cam to this city and entered the study of nit-dieine at the Eclectic Medical college col-lege and graduated from that institution insti-tution In 1901 He started the prac tice of medicine here and opened an office with his father, Dr O H Riggs. at 4 East Eighth street His father dying about eight years ago. he con tiuued the large combined practice Twenty years ago Dr Rlggs mar rled MIbs Mae Phelps, daughter of Mrs. Mary C. Phelps of Salt Lake who with a son Harold and a daughter MIsb Pauline Rlggs. survive him Ho Is also survived by a sister, Mrs. D O McKay of Ogden |
