Show Patriotic Talks To Be Given At Kiwanis Club Meet A patriotic theme will feature two addresses to be made at the Kiwanis club meeting this evening, even-ing, announces President H. M. Weight. Sterling E. Price will be toastmaster. Lorin Pace and Ed Marshall, graduate students of the Brigham Young University speech department, depart-ment, who have just returned from a speech contest in Denver, will deliver their talks on Loyalty and Patriotism. The two students competed com-peted with approximately 1000 outstanding out-standing speech students at the Denver meet and made a fine showing, according to their trainer, LaVar Bateman of the BYTJ. Music for the evening will be furnished by Harold Brereton of the BYU. The dinner-meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., at The Chicken Roost. |
