Mrs. Catherine Knight, an old-time resident of Butte, and formerly of Nevada, Ne-vada, leaves today for Spokane, where she will make "her future home.- Sellers Largey, son of Mrs. Lulu F. Largey, has assumed the- management of the affairs of the Largey estate. These include the Largey Lumber company,- the Speculator mine, banking and other interests.- Mrs. James H. Lynch and niece, Miss Annie Fitzpatrick, departed yesterday for Penbroke, ' Ont. Two of Mrs. Lynch's nieces. Miss Minnie- arid Miss Jeannie Fitzpatrick, were drowned at Pembroke a few days ago, -and their bodies have not been recovered. The funeral of David Walker on Friday Fri-day of last week was largely attended by friends and acquaintances of the deceased and his sorrowing relatives. The funeral was from the residence at 10 o'clock. The pallbearers were Tom Lavelle. D. J. Hennessy, James E. Kee-gan, Kee-gan, James Higgins, M. P. Lavelle and J. J. McHatton. There was a solemn high mass at St. Patrick's church at 10:30 o'clock. The deceased was the father of Mrs. J. W. Cotter. The Catholic Ladies' Aid society is preparing to hold 'a bazaar at the Ducie building, on East Park avenue, on Monday and Tuesday afternoon and evening of next week. Useful and fancy articles will be offered for sale and refreshments will be served. ' The proceeds of the bazaar will be expended in relieving the poor. During the past winter several hundreds of dollars have been raised by this society and devoted to charitable purposes. |
