Christenseln, chairman of the local War Price and Rationing Board, said today. All applications for gasoline to be used by farmers will be submitted to the local rationing boards, who in turn will forward to the CFTC all applications after noting the amount of gasoline issued for machines for a three months' period. The CFTC will go over the applications and recommend the amount of gasoline required by each applicant The general ap--j plication is to allow 3J gallons per acre for ory iana unuer cul-on tivation; 6 gallons per acre irrigated land and one gallon per acre for cutting of hay land for one year. Recommcdations made to by the CFTC will be returned if agreethe rationing boards, and, isable, gasoline rations will be sued. Although the CFTC will recommend gasoline for a six months' period, the local rationing boards will probably issue rations for only 60 or 90 days in order to keep a check on gasoline issued. The move is made because the CFTC, through its connections with ODT, is in a position to have accurate and definite information on the actual requirements of gasoline usage. 1940 Plymouth SEDAN Like New Mr. and Mrs. H. Without endorsement, the coupons will not be valid for transfer of gasoline. The endorsement on "E" and "R" coupons consist of the ration holder's name and address. To make the task of endorsement easier, the name and address need be written only once on each strip or block of coupons handed to the seller as a unit or on one coupon of the strip or block. When coupons are presented separately, each coupon must be endorsed. Previously, "E" and "R" coupons had to be endorsed only when exchanged for gasoline at a filling station or bulk plant. However, the endorsement requirement in general has proved so useful an aid in checking illegal diversion of ration coupons that it is now being extended to "E" and "R" coupons under all circumstances of transfer. . . .
