The Kimbers have purchased the property. Raul Munns and Arlene Wakefield of Tremonton, are guests of Miss Wakefield's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arlin Wakefield. Weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Newell Richins included Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Richins, Mrs. George Napoli and children, and Virgil Richins of Tremonton. Virginia Richins, who has spent the past two weeks here, returned to her home with her parents. William Thomas returned to Grouse Creek, Thursday, after a business trip to Salt Lake and other parts. Bertrum Matia Completed business at Grouse Creek the past week and is now at Tremonton. Honoring St. Patrick's day and the Relief Society anniversary, the Grouse Creek Relief Society sponsored a party and dance, Friday. Luncheon and games were enjoyed by the married folks in the afternoon, followed by a dance for everyone in the evening. Pvt. Denzil Ballard, a buddy of Dale Warburton, attended the dance. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kimber aid Mr. and Mrs. Arlin Wakefield motored to Brigham and Tremonton. Each returned with new cars. Newell Richins and Bryan Blan- thorne have been tending cattle at the W. F. Richins farm In Deck), Idaho, and returned Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Kimber ac companied Rulon Kimber to Salt Lake where he was to embark for further duty in the armed services. George Ballingham and son Oleen returned after Mr. Ballingham had received medical attention. Miss Dorothy Warburton and Donna Ferry were guests at the home of Miss Warburton's parents, over the weekend. Bryan Ballingham and Ranald Ballingham have been accepted in the Navy and are awaiting call to service. A tray lunch was served to 19 members. A chicken supper was given for Mr. and Mrs. Chester Archibald on Thursday evening at his brother, Mr. and Mrs. George Archibald's home. Those present weie Chester's Mother, Mrs. Harriet Archibald, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Archibald and family of Pocatello, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Willile Archibald and family of Weston, Idaho, Mr. and Mis. Steed Estep and family. Ice cream was served. They all enjoyed themselves. Mrs. Archibald was formerly Miss Cleo Vanderhoof of Oregon. Chester left Friday morning for the Navy. Thursday evening a number of our married people attended the Relief Society dance and bazaar at Thatcher. The Relief Society gave a dance the 17th of March for all over Mutual age. They had the lucky spot dance, the cake dance and a number of other dances. A program was also given. Mrs. Jesse Lamb and son, LaMont, and Mi s. Don R. Lamb were Tremon-to- n shoppers Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. David T. Burnett and Mrs. George Archibald were in on business, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Gar W. Rose motored to Ogrien Saturday on business. Mis. Clea Lamb was in Brigham City on business, Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Starr and Mrs. Clea Lamb were Garland and shoppers, Monday.' Don R. Lamb was transacting business in Tremonton, Tuesday. Everyone enjoyed the day and it served to help weld cur people together. Lawrence, of Syracuse, were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. und Mrs. Wendell Hansen. The occasion was Mr. Hansen's birthday and the wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Cook, parents of Mrs. Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Holman and daughter, Ruth, were Salt Lake City visitors on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Don Bourne and small son, of Brigham City, spent the weekend with relatives here. Wilford Sorensen, who is in the Valley Hospital suffering from pneumonia, is reported to be improving. Quite a number of town boys have recently been reclassified in government service rolls. Larsen and other relatives and friends here. They came for the funeral Thursday. Floyd Christensen is able to be around again after an accident last week. It seems Floyd ws having some tree stumps removed preparatory to fanning where his apple orchard has been, when a stump they were dragging behind a tractor upended, striking Floyd, causing a number of bad bruises and breaking his collar bone. ELWOOD I The Relief Society program, dance and supper on the evening of March 17th, was the social attraction of the week. Not since the Christmas Eve program have so many. of the adult ward members been brought together. An original, humorous skit, "Grand Johnson Opery," presented by and Bertha Landvatter, of Tremonton, created hearty applause. Joseph Kirk-haand Fred Nye furnished music of the "old time dances." Mrs. Letita Sorensen, Mrs. Bemice Petersen and Mrs. Edna Larsen were in charge of the supper. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Hansen, of Logan, came over to attend the Relief Society social. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Olson, of Brigham City, visited Sunday at the homes of W. E. and Wendell Hansen. After playing thtee extra periods of a basketball game after M. I. A. Tuesday evening, the Howell boys eked out a one point victory over the local team. R. J. Potter accompanied other school board members to Salt Lake City, Saturday, on business pertaining to school board matters. Mrs. Doris Petersen had as Sunday dinner guests, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon McBride of Pocatello, Mrs. Burch of Salt Lake City, Sgt. and Mrs. Homer Kearns and son of Colorado Springs. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Larson visited with relatives in Salt Lake. City, on Wednesday to Friday of last week.
