basketball to win the game And once again the old adage proved to be true This time the lesson was learned at the expense of the Ogden Tigers The Tigers played three quarters of good basketball only to watch the scrappy Bears blow past them en route to a 4 Region 3 victory Friday night at Ogden High Bear River trailing at the end of the third quarter opened the final peri2 od with a run and never looked back as they won their second league victory According to Bears coach Larry Webb it was a case of good scrappy defense “We were really struggling offensively early on but we felt if we could still get it done defensively then we would be able to win it" said Webb “This was one of those must wins for both teams" he said “We really needed a win to keep us in the region race at all" “It was basically a great team effort Our starters did a good job and when we needed it our the bench came in and did their job The coaching staff helped us make the changes at halftime and the kids made the adjustments" The Tigers opened up the game by pushing the ball inside and were able to e get several opportunities Led by senior center Ron Johnson the Tigers pulled out to a 9 lead With less than
