Curtis, national organizer of the boy-scout movement, on "Joan of Arc, tho Maid of Orleans." Hitherto, in most peoples' minds, this wonderful charachtor has occupied oc-cupied nearly supremo place of romance ro-mance and poetry among women; but the eloquent portrayal of Mr. Curtis probaly decpended this niche In the inaginatlon of his llstenears. so that his audience, for tho time at least, accepted his estimate of hor as tho greatest woman character In tho world's history, with tho single exception the Virgin Mary.
