VISION RESTORED BY OPERATION It will be good news to the friends of Ted Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Thompson, to learn that through an operation, he is gradually regaining the sight of his right eye, which was lost some months ago. The operation was performed on August 28th at the St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City, and Ted was ble to return home last Friday. The sight, in the eye operated on, had been failing ever since an accident a year and a half ago, when he came In contact with a high tension electric wire. Prior to the operation he had lost the sight entirely, but since the sight is gradually improving and he can now distinguish various objects. The doctors claim that the vision will be entirely restored. RULES AND REGULATIONS Bronk Riding Riders to draw for mounts and ride as often as the judges may desire. Each rider shall be required to cinch his own saddle and no two men will be allowed to pull the cinch on a horse. Ifa saddle is not cinched tight enough and comes but rider off, rider will be given a will be disqualified for cheating horse in any manner when it Is plain to judges that rider has purposely cheated horse to keep the horse from doing its best. Calf will be left tied down as long as deemed necessary by Judge to ascertain If tie is complete. This Is a contest, but roper must adjust rope and reins in a manner to prevent his horse busting calf. Any roper busting calf will be fined not less than ten seconds and not more than one minute, according to the wilfulness of the act and the time gained thereby. Wilful violation or disregard of this rule disqualifies roper. However, if roper catches calf and stops his horse and calf runs on and busts himself, then the roper shall not be fined. Roper shall be allowed two loops, and should he miss with both loops he shall then retire from the arena.
