Although it is just my opinion, I am more than happy to offer it. I started the Eden Sundevils, Jr. Posse this year, and with the help of some very wonderful people, we have been able to build the foundation for a strong, proud, and competitive group. We also have a 4-H group that practices at the arena. We have a lot of pride in our posse and pride in being able to call ourselves “The posse from EDEN.” Enjoying the Eden arena. We fixed the bleachers with a donation of lumber from Harvey Dalton, and have held a few events this year. It sickens me to think that a plot of black top is worth more than the shaping and building of “our” kids! As a matter of fact, more people than my “posse kids” use the arena, we have a Sorting group and many individuals who enjoy the great ground of the Eden Arena. The Ogden Valley is full of cowboys and cowgirls, and I know with a little determination (which I have), we could really have a lot of success with different equine activities. The want is out there, we just need the support! Thank you, Debi McEntire, Eden Sundevils, Jr. Posse A Wonderful Treasure I really just wanted to go on “the hike” to see if it was really as steep as some were suggesting, or as wonderful as others were saying. OGDEN - The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises motorists of the following road work: Weber County To my amazement, I got double the enjoyment! Some did it on horses, but my husband and I joined others as we hiked the 2.7 miles to meet the south property line that starts the 160 acres that Weber County received back from the lawsuit. There were wildflowers along the way and big pine trees with maples and oaks. I saw signs of moose and other wildlife. The trail follows Wolf Creek most of the way, and you could listen to the creek and the birds as you hiked. It was a wonderful hike, and when you crossed over the property line, it opened up into a beautiful surrounding of mountains. As you were on your way down the trail, you could see Ogden Valley below. I never even knew that there was such a beautiful piece of land that the County owned. Now I know what the fight was over. It is a hidden treasure, and well worth the hike to see it. I am looking forward to doing it in the fall when all the leaves are changing color. Photos of Wolf Creek Park and Trail by Dreinie Hattingh of Eden.
