Phone 886-YOUNG O Pago Five THE Guymon Family Sets Reunion August 22 A reunion of members of the Thomas Guymon family (including descendants of Noah Thomas Guymon, James Guymon and their sisters) will be held at the Souiette Park in Provo Saturday, in attendance to enjoy a wonderful time. A full and interesting days activities are planned beginning with registration at 9:30 a. m. Saturday morning. Following registration a genealogical meeting will be held at 10:00 a. m. At 12:00 noon a picnic lunch (bring your own, but soft drinks, etc., will be furnished) and visiting. At 2:00 p. m. a program, and at 3 :30 p. m. a historical and business meeting. Childrens games and sports will be conducted on the grounds while these meetings are in progress. An evening dance social will be held if desired by those attending. Bryant G. HELPER BASEBALL PARK to Word from Lewis On Wage Talk Plans Carbon Students UEA Holds Decision Attending On Signing Officials of the United Mine Workers of America are not talking about as to when their boss, John L. Lewis, might make a move to start wage talks with the nations coal mine operators. Lewis has been on vacation for several weeks and his given no indication whatsoever that he will try to negotiate a new contract for the UMWs 600,000 miners. Under terms of the present contract, the UMW has been free since August 1 to serve notice that it would reopen negotiations when the contract expires in September. Recent speculations in Washington has been that Lewis will not ask for increased wages because of the coal industrys poor economic condition. For Our Lady Customers Injured as Gun Accidently Fires Bud Ray Housekeeper, son of John C. and Marie Pierce Housekeeper of Wellington, is in the Price hospital be' ing treated for gunshot wounds following an accident with a 22 caliber rifle on Saturday afternoon at Nine Mile. His mother said that Bud Ray and his small cousin were in the back of a truck when the gun be gan to fall over. The boy grabbed the rifle and it discharged, the bullet wounding him in both hands, grazing his stomach and chest, and lodging in his shoulder near his collar bone. The bullet also shot off the zipper slide on his levis, ahd some of this metal was lodged in his hands and chin from the force of the shot.
