October THE 14. 1954 " t and Social Events HOLMGREN lit OBSERVED In compliment to Mr. and Mrs. Ed Deakin on the occasion of their silver wedding ary, a lovely dinner party was given Monday night by Mr. and Mrs. Jay Dee Harris. Dinner was served at the Bluebird Cafe in Logan at four beautifully decorated tables for thirty four guests. A lovely silver tray was presented to the honored couple by their friends who were present PARTY HONORS THE BVNNELLS Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Bunnell, who have been visiting in Tremonton, were guests of honor at a party Sunday night. After the Church service, fifty guests met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Rogers. for the event were the D. B. Greens and LaRain Marbles. A delicious buffet supper was served, after which the guests saw slides taken by the Bun-nelon their travels in Jerusalem and other sections of the far east. In the group were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Oldham and daughter, Angie Webster, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace King, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond King and Mr. and Mrs. William Hales, all of Kaysville, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Phillips, Price, and Mr. and Mrs. Alma W. King and and son Larry of Garland. After church the family and visitors enjoyed an hour of visiting and refreshments at the Stenquist home. (7 Reg. . $44.50 Logan Temple rites. A wedding breakfast honored the couple in the Pioneer Room of the Bluebird Cafe, after the cere, mony. The newlyweds greeted their friends at a beautifully appointed reception the same evening at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Deakin in Tremonton. Tha new Mrs. Egbert wore an original model gown, fashioned of bridal satin, tulle and lace. Featured were matching scallops on the roll back neckline, long sleeves, and fragile lace over-skir- t. The full skirt descended into a chapel length train. The of bride's illusion was caught to a jewel tipped lace cap. She carried a bouquet of yellow and small chrysanthemums white cushion mums. The bridal party stood before a background of green palms and tall baskets of bronze chrysanthemums. Assisting in receiving the guests were the parents of the couple, Mr. and Mrs. Deakin and Mr. and Mrs. Herald Egbert of Preston, Ida., sisters of the bride, Miss Judy Deakin and Mrs." Betty Bartholomew, maid and matron of honor, and bridesmaids, Dorene Anderson and Alvina Egbert. They wore taffeta gowns in shades of yellow and bronze, and carried laskets of matching marigolds. Best man for the groom was his brother, Clair Egbert, and Duane Deakin acted as usher, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Dee Harris as receptionists. Floral arrangements in the home and a stairway treatment wth autumn leaves and talisman satin ribbon were done by Lavon Crystal. Fredona Dixon and Helen Jorgensen furnished piano and vocal tmusic during the reception, and the guests were served refreshments in the dining room, where a four tier wedding cake centered the dining table. A plane trip to Kentucky via Chfcago with a few days in the city completed the honeymoon for the couple. They are now at home in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, where Mr. Egbert is stationed with the U.
