Show Green Sheet Review ' Grease ' Is Very Realistic young cast. All in all, by Michele Bartmess FARMINGTON. Season ticket patrons at Lagoon Opera House must think theyve wandered onto a strange planet this month as they attend the final in the three-shoseries of summer productions. After seeing Dames At Sea with its 1930 setting, they were treated to High Button Shoes with a 1913 dateline. But this month another era has come to life and, although it is the now bygone Fifties, the show is highly modernistic and entirely different from most Lagoon offerings. They are taught ex- tended floats on their backs. They have stayed on their backs floating for as long as a half hour, the length of the class, with no problem, Mrs. Silva said. Mothers are an important part of the training. At first, they keep the tots lying on their backs, sup- porting their heads only, getting them used to the buoyancy in the water. Repetition is the thing, repeating until the child can become relaxed. A special graduation ceremony will be held for those who have completed the training at noon on Aug. 28th at the Redwood Multipurpose Center. The small fry will perform for parents, relatives and friends, anyone interested. All will go into the 12 foot end of the pool with clothes on, a few in snow suits. Though only a few small children have been trained so far in the program, they, at least, will be prepared and will be able to keep from drowning if such an occasion arises.
