Show (LEV. R0CKWO0D WINS TOP RADIO AWARD LeVar Rockwood, University of Utah senior and Sugar House resident, res-ident, was named winner of the 1953 KSL award for outstanding work in radio and television. The $200 cash .ward is given each year by-Radio and Television KSL to the student judged outstanding out-standing in talent, leadership, personality and scholarship. Rockwood is married to the former Shirley Williams and they and two children make their home at 1178 Stratford Ave. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Rockwood, 2471 15th East. He is a speech major at the U and will graduate in August. He has been active in broadcasts originating on the university campus and has been host on the University of Utah Sunday television tele-vision series, "The World You Live In." He has filled an LDS mission to South Africa and is a guide on Temple Square. He is employed at the Crown Cleaners in Sugar House. |
