Show S. H. MERCHANTS DEMAND SIGN CHANGES A letter, suggesting the changing of highway signs at Foot Hill Blvd. and Parley's Way and Second West and Fourth South, was sent to D. H. Whittenberg by a group of Sugar Sug-ar House and South Salt Lake businessmen Monday. The signs which were installed by the state road commission are held to be misleading and confusing to the tourists, conveying the impression im-pression that one route bypasses the city and that highway 40 goes left on Fourth South which actually is the alternate route. The group at a meeting at Walker Walk-er Bank Monday morning requested request-ed Mr. Whittenberg to meet with them at a future date to outline proper highway markings. Robert C. Hopkins State street businessman, was chairman of the group. Vernon W. Mackay and D. James cannon represented the Sugar Sug-ar House chamber of commerce, I C. J. (Neal) White represented Sugar House Rotary. |
