Show Utah's Loan Quota $13,8.51,900; 850 Salt Lakers to Aid Big Drive U' TAH'S quota for the Victory loan will be $13,851,900. The drive in Salt Lake -win begin Thursday, instead of next Mon-' Mon-' day, and will continue to May 10. j . The city canvassing committee, which will begin work Thursday under Lester D. Freed, is composed of 850 business men, who have volunteered their services as long as needed. Organizations of women will be ready for the campaign Thursday, Mrs. i W. Mont Terry, state chairman of the women's executive committee, an- nounced. The women's bungalow bank at Second South and Main streets again will be a feature of the drive. The band furnished by labor union interests during former loan drives and other musical organizations, with popular speakers, will be a feature of ! the bungalow bank's opening Thursday. A parade will end at the bank. Scores of women, girls and 100 soldiers -will sell Victory loan certifi- j cates on the streets Thursday. A whippet- tank will be one of the attractions during the campaign. Organiiation of the churches for the drive will be perfected at a meet- ing of the church committees zt 3:30 o'clock this .afternoon at the Com-l Com-l mercial club. ' The Victory loan will bear the highest rate of interest cf any of the issues, 4'-4 per cent. i The fifth loan, to be the last popular war issue, will be for S4.300,- 000.000. I J , i |
