I - The opening day yesterday of "Western Consumers" week began a campaign of education in which every device known to advertising- is being . used. Letters have been mailed, speakers are touring the state and retailers are co-operating with manufacturers to show the value of patronizing U'ah industries. The idea "f Western Consumers' week was originated by Idaho clubwomen. At first, this week was observed hy only a few Idaho towns. The next year the whole state of Idaho set aside one wenk for Western Consumers' week. In the iast few years the idea of celebrating Western Consumers' week hag spread until un-til it is observed by ail the iuterruouii-tain iuterruouii-tain and Pacific coast states. The value of t his campaign has been so highly estimated by the clubwomen 'f the state that they have adopted as their slogan. ''Help the returned soldiers 'f t'tah find employment in the industries indus-tries of Utnh by buying t'tah products."
