Show ,v ;K::: : : trwm, .. fa r mm A .... . . - . t -i ; & x llfllRIlIBBillF Kvai'.-.'-v "-"- Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Jameson Minersville Couple to Observe Golden Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Jameson Jame-son of Minersville will observe their' Golden Wedding Anniversary Anni-versary on Sunday, Sept. 1, with an open house in the Minersville Min-ersville LDS recreation hall, from 2 to 8 p. m. Both are natives of Minersville Miners-ville and both have been active in the Church. Mr. Jameson has also been active in civic affairs, serving two terms ' as member of the Town Board and one term as Mayor. The present Minersville town hall was built during his administration. adminis-tration. He served two terms as counselor and one as superintendent super-intendent of the Sunday School and two terms as counselor in President until ordained a Seventy in 1933, and became one of seven presidents of the Seventies. He also was Senior President until ordanied a High Priest on March 27, 1956. Mrs. Jameson has been very active in LDS work, serving as teacher in every organization organiza-tion and as counselor and president pres-ident in the MIA. At present she is a counselor in the Relief Re-lief Society. She is a member of the Choir and the Singing Mothers, and has served as vice captain and captain of Susan Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers. They have been a devoted couple and have enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips together. to-gether. They filled a mission together to the Northern California Cali-fornia Mission and have served as stake missionaires for 10 years. Mr. Jameson was born Nov. 1, 1890, to George Simeon and Rebekah Ellen Banks Jameson. Mrs. Jameson was born Sept. 1, 1895, to William and Laura Pearl Buck Gressman. They were married Sept. 2, 1913, in the St. George Temple. They haye three children, Harold Morse Jameson, Las Vegas; George Vic, Jameson, Travis Air Force Base, Calif.; and Mrs. Bernice Limb, Beaver. Beav-er. Another son, Merrill Lewis, was killed in action during World War II. They also have eight grandchildren grand-children and three great-grandchildren. Friends and relatives are invited in-vited to attend the open house, between 2 and 8 p. m., Sunday, Sun-day, Sept. 1, in the Minersville Miners-ville LDS Church. |
