Show SO-DAY DUCK HUNT STARTS SATURDAY, OCT. 5 FIVE BIRDS IS BAR AND POSSESSION LIMIT ON DUCKS; TWO HONKERS Utah's 1963 waterfowl season will open at noon on Saturday, Oct. 5t and run for 90 consecutive consec-utive shooting days. The sea- son was set early this week by telephone canvass of the five-man five-man fish and game commission. In setting the Oct. 5 to Jan. 2 hunt the commission selected se-lected the longest possible season option made available by the Federal Government in order to allow more hunting hunt-ing time for Utah sportsmen. The daily bag limit for ducks, as well as the possession limit, was set at five birds. Once again this year both redhead and canvasback ducks will be on the protected list. For geese, the bag limit will be six birds, only two of which may be of the dark or Canada species. A total qf 1,000 swan permits per-mits will once again be made available to Utah sportsmen under the regulations as adopted adopt-ed by the commission. Daily shooting hours, after the opening, will be one-half hour before sunrise to sunset each day. |
