Peterson, 85, Lehi, father of Mrs. Wilson Lee of Eureka, died Friday, July 15, 1966, in an Orem rest home, after an illness. He was bom March 20, 1881, in Lehi to John and Rhoda Jane Ashton Peterson. He married Lileth Gilchrist, April 9, 1902, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was formerly employed as foreman of U&I Sugar Co., active in LDS church, and was a former member of Lehi City Council for one term; treasurer Lehi School District. Survivors are his widow; sons and daughters, Arnold L., Phoenix, Ariz,; Lee R., Orem; Mrs. ODell Peck, Lehi; Mrs. Wilson (Janet) Lee, Eureka; Mrs. Ivan Neilson, Springville; Mrs. Ervin Nelson, Salem; 21 grandchildren, 31 Silver Jubilee royalty has been selected to reign over activltiec during the Saturday celebration here. Parade 0. 0 Attivities plannee for Saturday including parade, talent contest f Bradys leave to compete in Chicago contest Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Brady left Friday for Chicago, where Mrs. Brady will compete in a nation wide contest sponsored by the IGA stores. She won the state coontest and was chosen to represent the western states at the IGA convention. Mrs. Brady will compete in an all day long contest held Saturday in the Conrad-Hilto- n Hotel in Chicago. Five other contestants from various sections of the country will compete in the finals. The IGA convention is held every five years. There are more than 5000 IGA stores throughout the United States. In a close contest Eileen Franks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Franks, was chosen as queen of the Eureka Silver Jubilee which will be held on Sat., July 23. Chosen as attendants to the queen 'were Jenny Taylor, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Taylor; Sandy Butler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Butler; Jan Phillips, daughter . Ore Shipments Filtrol Corp., 1080 tons clay. hal-loysi- te Freak accident involves grandson Mrs. Dora Rose received word Sunday of a freak accident involving her grandson, Allan Hyde, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hyde of Wells, Nevada. The boy was swimming and was shot in the throat for no apparent reason. He is at the Elko Hospital and a surgeon is flying there from the East to perform surgery. At the time of this article his condition was fair. His mother is the former Jenny Johnson of Mammoth, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Rose. of Mr. and Mrs. Verl Phillips; and Kim Pannell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Pannell. The girls will ride in the parade which will be held at 4:30 p.m. and will be presented and honored at the talent contest and band concert which will be held on Sat. evening at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Johnny Sutherland and Mrs. Kay Colovich were of the queen contest.
